tires and wheels

I have an '81 sc that is finally back on the road after a two year rebuild. Even though the tires have little milage on them, the car sat on them flat for three years - so I would like to replace them. In researching the Porsche Classic tire recommendations, they went with michelins, which is fine, but I really would like to save some money. Any recommendations?

As for the wheels, I want to clean them, but not polish to a mirror finish. Am I correct that they are originally a flat anodized color? I just want to get the tarnish off them. I see on this site how to polish them, but not just clean. Any help would be terrific.

Thanks
