Help removing intermediate throttle body
Help! I'm attempting to replace the pop-off valve gaskets in my '88 930 and am currently stuck trying to remove the intermediate throttle body. I've unbolted/loosened everything that I can see and yet the $#!@ still wont budge. I haven't removed all of the hoses but they are all loosened. What am I doing wrong?

Success at last

After a couple of beers, things seemed a lot easier. The throttle body was secured on the butterfly valve with a o-ring (press fit). After removing all of the hoses, I was able to wiggle it out.

While rebuilding the pop-off valve, I noticed that there was a bit of oil in the valve assembly itself, coating the piston, spring, etc. Is this normal?

Perfectly normal. Crankcase is venting into intake and there is always oil there.
