Haven't looked at it, but it has been for sale for a LONG time, listed on Ebay and not sold, and in classifieds everywhere on the internet, for what that's worth....

Garage
I didn't see that one in person, but a few months ago I went there to look at a few cars they had ('73 E, '67 S). imho they were mostly junkers that had been fixed up to look nice (there is a body/paint shop right next door...how convenient). And some were fixed poorly (the bondo job on a 356 notchback was hideous). The S wasn't drivable (no clutch cable and who knows what else), but did look pretty, although it smelled like fresh Testors model airplane paint. The E was tired and overpriced.

Since you are located close by, check it out (looks like a nice car). But I wouldn't go back no matter how sweet the car looked in the ad.

I've seen this car in person. A fellow in Maryland bought the car and then decided to sell. The owner and I couldn't agree on a price so he sold it back to European Collectibles. I did see all the paper on the car, including the certificate of authenticity, numbers do match. Note, this car most definitely has 172K miles on it, not 72K or whatever they are saying. The receipts even lead to this conclusion. I'm not sure why their ad doesn't disclose this fact!

No records for a paint job, but I really do not believe the paint is original. Check the cert of authenticity, orginally this car had white lettering the side that said "porsche". Also note the back decklid grill. The horngrills are new, when I saw the car it had black horn grills...
Car is missing MFI, carbs are not running that well at idle (at the time)...had to use the hand throttle to keep it alive. Needs a trans synchro or two. Door pockets are ailing. Drivers seat does not lock in position. At the time I saw it the dash had a cover on it but came with a new replacement dash. At some point in the past I think the car had a section of a new front pan put in. See the picture on their website if you look closely at the front end you can see a line...
Car drives nice, handles well and feels solid and has good throttle response down low, but didn't find it to be all of that quick when I stepped on it hard. Could not find any rust on the car. But I didn't look to hard nor did I have a magnet to search out bondo, etc. Quite a bit of work has been done to the car and there are receipts (except for paint), but at the same time 21.5K is too much and the price I was negotiating was much lower FWIW. I ended up buying a 69 911E targa for much less than that. The allure of this "early S" didn't do it for me. BTW, is the car back in California or is it on the east coast?
