spring plate bushings picture

*

Had a broken zerk on poly bronze bearing and removed spring plate to replace. Are these junk now? It appears that they are worn through the silver plating in the areas shown. Can't really "feel" much, if any, surface variations with my fingers.

Were you using the supplied spacers under the retainer bolts. Chuck told me that the assembly had to have some play side-to-side play to prevent binding.
FWIW, I used the spacers and still get the same kind of wear pattern your picture shows.
They are still usable. I've seen worse still in use.

Spacers used. Cleaned them up a bit with some 2000 grit sandpaper, lubed 'em up and reinstalled. Probably take other side off and clean/inspect too.
Thanks.
