997 Shifter sizes
Can someone please tell me what the ball joint size & standard is for the Porsche shifters (996, 997, 987 or any short shift kit) for example 10mm SAE.
I'm looking for the gearshift and the selector sizes (and both ends if possible). I have to make a custom length shift cable that I need to piece together and Porsche doesn't make it. I'm kind of surprised nobody has gotten this information by building shifter cables themselves. Everybody just buys cables? Seems like the Porsche and after market are pricey and the same cable could be pieced together for $80 per cable (compared to $400 for 2). If anybody knows a thread where someone has done this would appreciate the link. Searched for awhile.
