Wow! I don't know how many Porsches were on display, but these stood out from the rest. It's funny how the cars pictured suddenly make national level concourse quality Speedsters, Slant Nose Turbos, etc. seem a little less exciting.

See you in 2 weeks.. Vrrrmmm.... |
Sweet!
OK, my car's about ready for the 16th. So far I've replaced the heater hose, replaced the rear targa bar seal, replaced both raggedy seatbelts, fixed the droopy targa bar upholstery, and got the driver's window working. Maybe I'll get far enough along that I won't have to worry about pieces falling off on the way to Sedona! |
It's got to be tough to decide what to drive... 911 or WRX. Do you just flip a coin, or what?
|
I've put 3k miles on the WRX so far. It's fun--a lot of fun--but not as raw as the Porsche. It's a little "too easy" to drive. It has instilled a bit of the HP junkie in me, however. When the boost comes on it's a total blast. Even my wife gets a grin as the acceleration builds.
I'm thinking when I get around (or am forced) to a rebuild, I'm goin' turbo. I don't know what (rfng's kit? 3.3 transplant? 3.2+Juan's kit?), or how ($$$!), but it's gonna happen. Actually, if RJ gives my wife a short ride in "Julie", she may authorize this plan. ;) |
