1972 Left rear bumper WITHOUT Muffler Cutout
Can anyone provide me a lead as to where I might be able to buy a left (driver side) rear bumper for a 1972 911T that does NOT have the muffler cutout (if it even exists)? I am thinking about installing a GT3-like muffler and would want to replace that left rear bumper without the cutout. Also, does anyone make a 1972 911T rear license plate valence that has been modified for the GT3-like muffler, i.e., has a cutout for the two exhaust pipes? TIA.

If you cannot locate the holy grail, you might consider glassing the hole and painting.

My guess is you'll have to modify two stock parts to get what you want. Not hard, and I'd do it in steel, not glass.

I have a GT3 exhaust on my 88. Right now I am running a fiberglass rear valance. I have sourced two steel ones and I am going to make 1 with the corred cut outs for the GT3. I dont recall seeing a proper one for any year car anywhere.

A buddy told me this morning that he thought that someone was making a metal plate that could be attached to the left rear bumper muffler cutout area (something like what is used on the front bumper to cover the fog light openings). Has anyone heard of this solution?

I've seen parts like that. I don't know if they were one-offs or if someone made a few at some point.

Just weld a patch in and refinish then cut out the center panel for your new exhaust.

I'm unfamiliar with that term; what do you mean by glassing?

How about a blank valence (bottom of page)?
