Hey guys,
Im trying to get a standard definition of a all original, concours/showroom condition non restored car. Any PCA judges out there? Please post pictures if you have them. Thanks |

Well,
I would say that a restored car is as-new or better. Engine so clean you can eat off it, no oil drips on anything, everything polished and blemish-free, exactly as if someone had not driven it. For a non-restored, "survivor" car, I would say it must have original paint and interior, and low mileage. It may even have its original tires, battery and spark-plug wires, for instance. I saw a 914-2.0 with the yellow dots that came on the lug nuts still present, and a Karmann Ghia that had only 8,000 miles since new, not to mention a flawless 21,000-mile '67S. As new summarizes the whole thing up. As a car I'd like to drive, I like patinated, original, well cared-for cars with some character and blemishes, just because it shows it has gotten used for what it was meant for. It's what I've got in my '65C Cab for sale, and it's what I want in my 911S that I'm looking for. Oh well...good luck.
