Question WhaleTail Screen

Just installed the factory Carerra Tail on my SC. I am undecided about the screen that goes inside the tail, underneath the louvers. What is the general concensus on the screen, do you put it in or leave it out???

Thanks,

Jim

Thumbs up

The flat black screen provides a nice contrast against a high gloss body finish.

Jim!

The screen was designed to keep leafs, sticks,or any kind of "Bad Stuff" from entering the engine compartment through
the louvers. I have yet to see a tail without the screen installed!

I pick leaves and sticks out of my screen on a daily basis. It never occurred to me to remove it and I seriously doubt I ever will!

Huey581 and ebradway said what I would say, plus the tail provides extra room for crud to land and then slip into the grill.

Put 'er in 'ere.

Jim,
My '86 Carrera has a turbo tail on it. The grille was missing when I bought the car. I have not installed one, and have yet to suck in any crap, birds, or small childern. Just be mindful not to park under trees in the fall, and other common sense measures like that.

Regards. Brian
