Remember these?
Install or not? Purchased from Automotion back in the 90s, I think.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1430916496.jpg

No, too much added weight.
|
i could use them, when ever i get my car repainted I will try and find some. That area on my car is very scratched, I guess from finger nails or so?
later, |
I've only seen that part of the car scratched on one car, and the owner's wife probably had really sharp fingernails and didn't care that they was scratching the paint.
Does yours? |
I guess it wouldn't hurt since your car is white in color, but then again is up to you!
|
Usually it is a ring that scratches the paint there.
|
Yes, my car was pretty scratched up when I bought it, but a little polish cleaned the area up. More careful now, but I thought I'd give them a try because the car's white...
|
Clear vinyl wrap would be lighter :D
|
+1 for the vinyl wrap
|
LOL, I have those, installed them 14 years ago after I painted my car since it went with the black and blue theme. Wow, can't believe its been 14 years now.
|
I would install them for more of an appearance reason rather than paint protection. A good cleaner wax removes light marks and scratches easily.
With the white paint, the black door handle pockets would add some color some color contrast in those areas. Not sure what the quality of the plastic is but depending on your storage situation, they may fade and look dingy sooner than later. Plus its just another area for potential wax and dirt build-up. |
I need a pair, as I have cracked paint under my handles. Wanna sell them?
|
I thought the company name was P. B. TWEEKS
Who's that Automotion fella? |
They've been wrapped and stored all these years, so the plastic is brand new. I'll probably hit the parts with Zaino and replace the double stick foam strip on the back. I dry-fitted the handle and I have to admit the black on white look appeals to me, even though I'm really a factory-stock kind of guy.
Sorry, not for sale... |
