The merchant is accepting the coil refund - good because I've blown my repair budget for the year!

I do have my original Bosch coil, which I replaced at the beginning of the summer. But I think I'll keep that as a backup. What happens when a coil is hit by a bullet? I assume there is an oil of some kind in the older ones.

Glad the refund is coming through.

LOL I would have to say I don't know about the oil even tho' I probably should. As a guess it could be potted, like a neon sign transformer, as opposed to oil-filled (nasty), but I could be wrong - will have to google now. Edit: some older ones are indeed wet - and yes, this oil is unhealthy for humans.

I had visions of the Office Space movie where they 'off' the printer in some vacant lot.:D
