SC vin plate

Hi all

I bought a 1982 911 SC a few monthes ago.
I am surprised not to see a vin plate in the trunk and cannot find any blank for sale or pics.
So i am now thinking that maybe there wasn't any in the us sc cars.
Am i right ?
If not can i have some pics so i can have it made, or even better a link to some place that sell some.

Correct- the vin plates stopped being used in 76/77 if I remember correctly for US cars.

so instead we have the black sticker on the door thing ?

And the VIN number on the A pillar thing. My RoW SC doesn't have that.

If you are talking about the VIN in the front trunk, it was on all the cars (RoW/US/CDN).

Its stamp on a raised part of the frame between the gas tank and the smuggler box cover.

That picture is also from a RoW car. Maybe they weren't applied to US cars? I don't know.
