Question ok to disconnect o2 sensor on SC?

Will my mixture run more rich if I disconnect my o2 sensor? Is there any advantage/disadvantage to doing this? 81'SC

it could go either way at idle depending on the initial setting, which is done with the sensor disconnected. pull off the plug, which is just below the fuel filter, and set the CO to 3.5% hot at idle. way smoother idle and more responsive, too. adjust speed down to 1000 RPM if necc. you'll like it. the rest of the oxy sensor system must still function for the engine to run well. the frequency valve must still vibrate.
