Aftermarket Speaker for Cellphone system and/or Alarm. It is not OEM.

Thanks,
maybe it is some option in Japan - both 81 and 83 have it...
I need to trace the wires and see where it goes.

Alarm speaker

High pitch noise box. Will sound when alarm is tripped. Had one on my turbo conv. Blows your ear drum out.

Kill it now.....

Thanks,
Yes I want to kill it.... but I have no idea how???
Is this part of Porsche alarm system? I dont see any key lock on the door and not sure how is it wired together with what...
just got the car and working on it - has been sitting for over 10 years.

My preferred way to remove aftermarket alarm stuff is "rip away" -- wire clippers and pry bars etc.

I did get a little ahead of myself one day, and cut the wire from the headlight washer pump to the dash switch, so now I have to track that down, but 99% of the time I've had no issues with just the mass removal approach...

It's not part of a Porsche alarm. Original alarm uses only a little puck style horn that is mounted underneath the car on the front suspension crossmember

Be careful! A lot of those aftermarket stereo and alarm people are real butchers/riggers. I have seen toooo much of their work.
