Taking the river home
Yesterday was a good day. It's a day that's been in planning for a few weeks now. It started a few weeks ago in Hershey. I separated from my friends to meet a fellow pelican and pick up some parts for a friends 70T project when a car catches my eye pulling into the corral. Hmmm, maybe I should take a look at that. I take a detour from my planned excursion to inspect a nicely aged 68 normal targa. It's love at first sight, yes chishe, but true. The car and owner are immediately surrounded. I looked the car over for a few minutes and waited my turn to ask a few questions. I had a great conversation with the seller and by the time we were finished, I had bought the car. We went for a spin and it drove wonderfully. We made arrangements to pick the car up and we went out separate ways.
![]() Until yesterday.....

We took a 5:30 am flight from Chicago to Philly. Landed and went straight to pick up the car.
![]() Again the owner was more than gracious. He filled the tank, gave us oil, books, tool kit, and boxes of parts to go with it. One truly classy guy. I am privelaged and honored to take over caring for this car from him.

I love driving the PA Turnpike through the central and western part of the state. The mountains, the curves. a great Porsche drive for sure.
