Is an SC turbo tail the same as a Carrera 3.2

G'Day Guys

I am looking at buying a whale / turbo tail for use on my 85 Carrera 3.2. My question is I have found a factory porsche one one off an 82 SC which I like the Look of. Will it be correct on my car? Or do the Carrera ones look different?

Thanks

Stewart

There is a difference between a turbo tail and the SC/Carrera tail. The SC/Carrera tails are the same. if it's from a normal narrow body SC, chances are it's the correct one but Porsche did offer the turbo tail as an option on narrow body cars but not as common. You have a picture? they are easy to tell apart.

Click on my garage to see a 1986 Carrera narrow body with a Turbo tail instead of the Carrera tail. Looks great from my perspective and works well on the track.

Got your PM, the one you're looking at is indeed a 'turbo tail'. As stated, it was an option but 99% of the people out there do not like this type of tail on a narrow body car. I understand it's personal taste, but it just doesn't look right IMHO.
