Hello again friends,
Another question about a fault in a fuel gauge...didn't really find what I was looking for in the search threads so hear goes: My fuel gauge works pretty good. It always indicates when full and the 'low fuel' light will illuminate when the tank is low. The problem is that the needle will sometimes seem to stick a little high or low and if I tap on the gauge it will move up or down about an eigth to a quarter or so. This leads me to think that maybe my contacts behind the gauge need looking over and not necessarily a problem with the sender. Anyone concur? If so, what if the procedure for getting the gauge out so I can get behind it and see if I have corrosion or a short, etc.? Thanks, Ryan
