Is Dynomax the Porsche OEM muffler maker?

From the Dynomax website:

I have no idea but, I have one of their "straight through" mufflers along with their high flow cat on my saab. The difference was astounding when it comes to spool up! Great mufflers!!

I used the Dynomax cats.....it quieted the Supertrapps down considerably. I can barely hear the exhaust with the cabriolet top up and under 4,000 rpms. Idle is not real noticeable at a stop light.

Above that it starts to be fun, but a lot less as loud prior to the cat install.

For $85 you can get a 2-in 2-out Dynomax about the same size and shape as the B&B or GHL with the same in/out orientation. I just ordered one.

Probably not a good idea. All the dual in-out cats I saw in the catalog were single direction. In other words, they had a plenum inside and the gasses from each side of the engine will mix. As CARB and the BAR ref will not allow a cat to have conflicting paths you would have to plumb the inlets to the same side as well as the exits.....UNLESS you have room to mount the exits and inlets top to bottom as opposed to side to side.....

IF you can find a dual in-out cat that has seperate interior chambers, then you can get around the bag of snakes piping......THAT's why I had to use two singles and welded them together.....

Hope that helps....

Sorry Mike, I was talking about the Dynomax muffler .
i am considering a pair of 8100 series Random Technologies high-flow cats. They are only 8.5 inches long and 4 inches in diameter. With the small size, I am hoping to plumb them in line on the way from the header to the muffler. (Crossing in the middle to add some length to the path).
