I have a 1988 911 and am experiencing headlamp problems. When I turn the lights on sometimes only one side comes on, when I use the high beam switch on the TS it will turn one side off and when I dim the switch it changes sides on which headlamp works. Then when I turn the fog lamps on things kind of switch around and only one fog lamp works. After reading comments here it sounds like I might have a bad HL switch or TS switch. HELP! thanks

Those are possibilities, just make sure that all your ground points down by the battery negative cable are in tact, and that the grounds are OK at the fuse box carrier plate. I have attached a picture pointing to the major ground points in the car. I'd be most concerned with 1-3, but eventually inspect them all because many strange and intermittent issues can be solved by cleaning the grounds.
