Condition is everything!
 

Just MY OPINION... Some die hard DIY types may disagree and that's OK.

When shopping for a classic car go for condition every time.
I've seen it way too often... People buying "cheap" cars and then regretting it afterwards.

You're better off paying way more for a good car than buying something questionable.

I've seen a lot of threads lately asking for help when buying a car. Just get the best car available and I promise you, you won't regret it.
And good cars are easier to sell later on. Have you ever tried to sell a car that just sits? ... Not nice :(

If you can't afford a good Porsche you really can't afford one at all. Sorry but that's just the way it is.
There are no real bargains to be had. One way or the other you will pay for a good car anyway.

Probably true today. It wasn't always that way.

As the old and true saying goes, buy the best car you can afford.

Many years ago I was looking for a 20 valve turbo Audi and the good ones wererunning about $10K. I found one in San Francisco for $5K and interviewed the seller relentlessly, got pics, full receipts but no PPI. Got the car and spent another $5K, getting it fixed back to the condition of the $10K cars. You just can't get away from paying what you need and have to pay.
