Odd 73.5 911t VIN

Hello all,

Purchasing a 1973.5 911t CIS us coupe this coming weekend and got a shot of the VIN today but found something odd and could use some help. The VIN is 9113103080, see the photo, and all seems to be in order except the serial number. As far as I can tell from research on pelican and elsewhere the highest serial for late 73 911T us coupes should be 1944...am I completely off here? If I am is the vin correct is this car truly serial 3080? If I am not should I be concerned about this?

I am basing my research off of the following link from 911 registry which references the 911 family tree pamphlet.

Thanks for the help here and sorry if I am completely missing something here but I found it strange enough to ask.

Paternie's Redbook shows the last 73 CIS Vin as 3444. You are well within the window.

Matt is correct. The US T with CIS had a chassis number range to 3444. Earlier non-CIS chassis numbers did not go as high. The engine type, if original, should be 911/91 for a CIS. Carb version would be 911/51.

Thanks for the feedback guys...don't know why initial Google searching didn't steer me directly to that guide.
