Door pockets

Anyone purchased ABS door pockets? How do you like them?

I haven't installed them yet but it should be noted that 993's came with them (ABS)
from the factory. I find the upholstering a bit of APITA but that is the same for all new pockets regardless of material. The 993's pockets do have a tendency to crack after some time radiating out from the mid (upper) screw. In my 993 I've epoxied sheet metal on the panel that the screw hole passes through. I may do the same with the new ABS ones on my 85 as a preventative measure (I often have books, maps and other stuff in them). If you don't stress the pockets you probably won't have a problem for many years. Cheers

Yes, I installed ABS door pockets that I bought from this guy: https://sites.google.com/site/1960slincolns/ ... he sells on eBay here: 1974 1994 Porsche 911 New A B s Door Pockets | eBay

So, the short story is that they were a perfect fit just as received. Even the pre-drilled holes were in exactly the right places. I am delighted with the quality and the 'look!'

I had them professionally re-covered with the original 'Sliverknit' carpet and leather trimming.

Rob

I got them a few years ago and they are much better than the originals or the fiberglass ones.
