omega spring stop

On the side of the gearbox is a bolt-on aluminum bracket that holds the pin for the "fixed"end of the omega spring. It also holds a small steel stop (held on with two little phillips flatheads) to prevent the omega spring from extending the long arm too far while in the over center "parked" position. This stop is broken on my car and appears to be broken on most of the pictures I've been able to access. I think this could explain much of the trouble people have had with cable adjustment as it removes the initial reference point needed to set things correctly. Does anyone have a clear pic of this thing in good condition and know if it is supposed to engage the pin on the clutch arm or the spring body itself? I realize this will sound like a lot of gibberish unless you are looking at the assembly so please bear with me.

regards,
Phil
