Random people offering to buy your car?
Ok, this is weird, and wanted to see if this is a common occurrence.
I purchased an '87 3.2 Carrera back in October from the widow of the prior owner, who had the car for all but its first 5 years of life. It's a solid high mileage driver, but I knew it was going to need some TLC and was looking forward to trying to do some of the wrenching myself. With that said, it's visible flaws are obvious - paint, carpets, leather, vinyl, rubber all need some form of attention. Mechanically solid, but definitely needs a suspension refresh, and eventually a full engine rebuild (220K on the clock, burns a quart every 600 miles, no top-end rebuild in its history). I love the hell out of this car, but it's no concours queen. In any event, I get home yesterday and somebody has left a note on my car expressing their interest in buying the car. They left their phone numbers and indicated they'd pay cash. It was a little weird, to be honest. I have no plans on parting with the car right now, but has this happened to anyone else? ~B

Argh, I hate being the guy that starts a new thread for a topic that already exists. I need to remember to use Google search, and not the forum search next time.
Thanks!
