PowerMaster Battery - 87 Targa

Decided to take the Targa to work today (about 18 miles from home) and I had some resistance when starting this morning. Since I use a battery tender, this should have been a red flag to leave the car at home. In any case, I stopped to do an errand before work and when I got back to the car, it didn't start. Low and behold, my battery was 7+ years old (which I was not aware of) and finally gave out on me. Luckily for me there was a gas station right next door to the store I was at and the mechanic gave me a jump and I drove the car to his shop. He was able to order a battery and install it within a couple of hours and all is good (for now). He put in a battery by the brand name of PowerMaster which has a white case. Due to the circumstances, I didn't want to reply on getting a jump to make it home, so I just had it dealt with on the spot. Is this a decent battery? I honestly never heard of the brand. I was hoping for an Interstate battery or the like. Do I need to worry about my battery leaking?
