Dash Cam Wiring

So I got this little item off of Amazon with the intent to wire my dash camera and i-phone running Harry's Lap Timer direct vs. the cig. lighter socket.

It fits and using very small sheet metal screws can be attached between the visors to the roof through the headliner to the metal there if careful. Then run power via very small gage wire down inside the rubber gasket to the trunk via the antenna hole.
Goal in this is that the dash cam runs anytime the car is on (already have similar to this in my Honda behind the headliner, works great). Also can power the i-phone when at the track with Harry's software.
Problem being solved is wires hanging all the time and the plug coming loose and losing power to the dash cam from vibration over long time.
Before I dive in, does anyone have a cleaner/simpler way to get the power up to the mirror location with the right connections.
My little adapter has mini-USB that fits the camera and regular USB that can cable to the phone. Leave the socket for phone charging for others or long cable charging when traveling.
My little camera supports my sometimes hobby of recording police or others behaving badly on the road. I've saved a couple of segments I thought were amusing.
