Brake lights/reverse lights not working
Hi all,
Finally getting around to the final bits and pieces on reassembly but for some reason cannot get my brake lights or reverse lights working, I have checked the brake switch at the pedal and seems to be fine, also checked bulbs and fuse but don't seem to be getting power to the tail light. The car is a 77 so master cylinder is behind the pedal and no booster. Would love somebody to guide through testing procedure. Thank you Nigel |
Theres a reverse switch on the tranny that might not be connected which would effect the reverse lights.
Heres the parts number so you know what to look for 915-303-145-00-OEM |
use a test light (TL). ground it to metal. check for power on the pins at the sockets. if no power work your way back.
there are 6 pin connectors for the lights on the inside of the engiine bay near the lights. check there next. you can check for ground my connecting the TL to 12v and probing the ground side of the sockets/pins |
