6 spd into an early chasssis info
For those interested in such things theres some nice info on the 6spd install into a 911 chassis here

Cool link, Bill.
Could someone explain to me why you would want a six-speed in a turbo? Beyond the "more is better rational" I don't see it. This guy went to a lot of trouble to get 6 . . . matched to a turbo motor. On NA race motor I could see it, but turbo's are not exactly peaky in the power-band department. The 930 box is just 4 gears fwd.

Easier to keep the turbo spooled up and in boost with a 6 speed than a 4 speed. For track work the stock 930 gears leave something to be desired.
