Need PPI and appraisal in Maryland

I'm considering buying a 1984 911 wide body and 3.6 (stock 964 engine) conversion that has been apparently completely restored with bare metal paint and all steel wide fenders. Has only 10K since restoration, 150K overall. Brakes, Leather interior both upgraded. Stock suspension. My question is how much should i pay for this if its supposedly in pristine condition? Also what resources are out there to help with a cross-country transaction like this to decrease my risk of making a poor decision and to protect against fraud? Anyone on the forum live near Lusby, MD able to help out?

Thanks in advance for the input.

Strong second to the get on a plane response. I wish the hell I had done it before I bought mine, and I would never buy another one without seeing it in person and driving it myself.

Thanks! Sometimes you just have to be talked off the ledge.....I've made this mistake before and still find myself getting sucked in to the fun of buying a Porsche. I will let the seller know I'm going to have to wait until I see it and drive it. .

Nice time of the year to visit southern Maryland. I'm a Marylander--or was--and my family has some connections down near Lusby--pm me if you need help.
