Replaced Master Cylinder, new switch only has 1 terminal

Today I replaced my master cylinder, but my old cylinder has spots for two terminals and the new one only has one. any thoughts on what I should do? I saw a suggestion to leave it off, but I would like to know where it supposed to go.

Do you mean the brake light switch terminal connectors?

Please post a pic

This one. My original has two spade connectors, and the replacement has one.

Call PP and see if you ordered the correct one?

Your thread title refers to 1 terminal on the switch, but your post refers to the number of switches in the master cylinder.

My '87 master cyl has spots for 2 switches, and each switch has 2 terminals.

I don't know enough about your year or the suggestion about leaving something off.

That is the wrong type of brake light switch. The one in the picture has a mechanical plunger (black object) which is activated by hydraulic pressure and makes an internal connection to the spade connector. It is typically found on early Mercedes and is also used as a switch for tripping the cruise control when the brake is depressed.

You need a two spade switch as mentioned in earlier posts.

This was the option from pelican. No worries, thanks for the help.
