Bad day for autoX
Fired up the 914 to go autocrossing.
Failure of an external thermostat to close, thus sending cold oil to an external cooler, can cause this:  The 911 oil punp will generate some serious pressure, eh? A rude noise, followed by the oil pressure dropping to nuthin' will ruin your day. A guy buys good quality stuff to aviod this crap.....and it still happens. I be bummed. Hope I didn't hurt the motor.  JPIII |
