My Porsche Finally Painted! Just Want To Share Some Pics!

Ok finally my 912 is painted. I know this is the 911 Forum but I am so proud of her that I wanted to share with you folks.

The color is Polar Silver Mettalic. All opinions are welcome and before someone notices it has no driving lights up front, I am about to order them

If anyone would like to see what it looked like last year (before new paint & wheels) you can check it out:

You will probably have to copy/paste that link into the address bar for it to work properly.

To me it almost looks "Rauchgrau", but that's probably due to the quality of the pictures. Polarsilber is a very nice colour. I considered it when I was about to have my 911 repainted. I chose Arktissilber which has a slightly lighter shade. Still I like both.

Absolutley beautiful!! I still feel that Silver is one of the best colors for a classic porsche, but I might be a little biased since I own a 911 silver anniversary!

Looks killer! With all that nice chrome and stainless too! Have you thought about chrome mirrors? The one's off an early 320i BMW are JY available and look period. Unless you can go original Porsche. Alex http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/pray.gif

Great looking ride. Who painted it and how much did it set you back?

I don't think the silver adds as much HP to a 912 as it does the SCs and other 911s

I'd have to see in in person to give my opinion. Something about the internet and pictures that magicaly removes flaws. (Ebay)!

Zendalar,
You should share that rear wing special treatment (paper towels strategically placed) with the F1 wind tunnel folks! First they would have to get it approved by the FIA!

69-912, you've sold me - that's the color I'm going to have my Rolls-Royce painted! I've been thinking of Polar Silver as an option, along with redoing the original white or going black.

epbrown: Man let me tell you the color is awesome in person if you've never seen it. It would look awesome on an RR!

Another pic::

Let me remind you these pics are taken with a cheap digital camera and the car has no wax or anything on it.

Wow, that looks very nice.

It looks like it has a bot of gold in the paint on my screen. But I guess it doesnt.

Im torn as to what I want: Silver or Black.
Im in favour of silver at the moment. Yours is swinging the balance!

Alex
