Where in the 'H' is this supposed to go?

Before anyone says it, I have already spent over an hour using the search tool, sifting various threads for information, going through all of my pics, the Bentley manual trying to find out where the male end of the distributor wire is connected.

I for the life of me cannot find or remember where in the engine it is connected to from the distributor. As trivial as it sounds, can anyone please let me know where/what this wire is connected to? Thanks in advance.

JJ is right that the center post on the cap is the one for the coil wire. But I see in the picture, it looks like the one you are holding is part of a loom of 3 so that would not be the one to plug into the center. Should be a separate wire. Now for the correct firing order, it is posted on your engine lid. Good luck.
