Fuel Tank Removal and Other Issues

Hello, I have a 1975 Porsche 911s that currently is not running and I have been having a hard time figuring out what is wrong with it. I have been told by a friend who is knowledgeable about car mechanics that my best bet was to start off with taking out the fuel tank, and then cleaning it and the fuel lines out. I was hoping someone might be able to point me towards a helpful article or video showing at the very least how to take the tank out. There are definitely some other, currently unknown, issues with the car besides the fuel tank, so if anyone knows of any common issues that plague classic Porsches, I would be curious to hear about them so I can check and see if my car has any of the same problems. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

There are clips that hold the tank in, each has a hex cap screw.

I drained and disconnected everything attached to the tank. Then used a floor jack with a piece of wood to gently jack from beneath. You need all the force you can get to dislodge the tank as there is a sticky foam seal between the chassis and tank. Be prepared to find some rust around the lip of the tank as that seal takes up water. You can order a new tank to frame seal from Pelican.

Garage
Before you waste you time why not open it up and look inside
Takes a few minutes you can see inside with a flashlight .

Just pop the top little cover off . I would be testing fuel pressure before I started removing things
The tester is cheap at hf.
