Newbie...I need a Wrench Head! Help!
 

Hello all,

Is there anyone in the Baltimore, MD area, or surrounding areas, that is willing to come over to my home garage and do an assessment of what I need? I bought a roller, a 915 tranny, and a 2.7 "complete" engine. I bought the 2 books from Pelican about redoing the engine and upgrades to the 911. The body of the car is a '78 SC Targa Widebody. I have food, beer, and if you want a few buck for coming over. I can accommodate that as well. After 3 years of trying to get this project off the ground, I finally have the time!

Bump....Anyone near?

If you don't already have one, get the Bentley manual for your 911 (the SC one should cover your combination). The 915 transmission should bolt right up to the 2.7, and both should bolt right into a 78 chassis.

Does the engine run and have the original fuel injection system? Does it need rebuilding or can be bolted in as is? Doing an engine rebuild makes the project much larger than simply bolting these parts together to get a running car.
