Radio 1969 Targa 2.0s

I need some help please regarding radio speakers.

I am busy with a complete nuts and bolt restoration of a 1969 Targa 2.0S. We are trying to get the car as original as possible.

Per the birth certificate the car was originally fitted with a Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio. I have found a German company, Konigs Klassik, who refurb old radios to modern standards. I am also able to source the dash speaker from them.

They have told me that the car would only have come with the dash speaker and nothing in the doors - is that correct?

I also attach a pic of the car stands now in case anybody is interested....

Go with what Rainer says - I met him two years ago before the Essen Classic show in Germany.
He knows what is correct for your '69 and is a straight up & down guy.
He is a specialist in Becker radios,so if you can do the $$$,get one from him.
More pics of your '69 S pls !
Where are you ?

HTH
Dennis.

Thanks Dennis, I will do that.

I am in Johannesburg, South Africa. The car was a bit of a barn find in the Jhb city centre. Attached a pic of what the car looked like back then. And what it looks like now.
If you are interested you follow me on Face Book under Targa Guy where I post regular updates on the progress of the car.

Great find and should be a wonderful car when finished. I have a friend with an original 70 911S Targa that has not been molested, so if you need pics of something, let us know.
