Is it under the car?

Green fluid is probably a florescent dye that has been put into your AC system as a leak detecting agent.

Tell us what you have done to your AC recently?

Yes it is under the car a spot about 6 inches in diameter when car has been ran for a while and air conditioning has been used. It does look flourescent green.

Green could also be oil from the a/c system, but if that were the case, you would not have cold air (all of the refrigerant would have leaked out in short order).

Regardless, the small tube in that area is the evaporator drain, and the larger tube is the drain for the fresh air intake duct at the base of the windshield (rainwater drain).

Since you say the a/c is cold, the fluid is probably water from the evaporator (condensation created during operation) mixing with oil and/or dye residue that is still in the bottom of the smuggler's box beneath the evaporator housing (or in the evap housing itself) that was perhaps left over from repair work in that area.

PS - wuz up, Bob?!?!?!

Thank you that sounds like it could be the issue. I have been running the AC full tilt for the last few days it's very hot here. I assume once it cleans itself out it should just drip clear water. Thanks for your help this is my first older air cooled Porsche still learning the ropes.
