Can you replace 911 "Trumpet" horns with 944 "snail" horns
I am looking to clean up the area in my front passenger wheel well to put a Carrera type oil cooler.
Does anyone know if the 911 "Trumpet" horns could be replaced with 944 "snail" horns? The physical connections should be easy enough but I wonder if the existing relay in the 911 is sufficient for the 944 horns Thanks

The relay is plenty strong. However, if the 944 horns are like the Carrera snail horns, then they have annoying non-standard connectors.
Go to Amazon and get a pair of Hella snails for $25, they have normal 1/4 spade connectors and a great sound http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000COBK8A Much deeper and richer and LOUDER than stock, and much cheaper than the later factory horns.
