Speaker placement 70 Targa

Ok, where are people installing their speakers in a 70s Targa??

Had some in the rear side quarter panels, but upgraded seat belts take that spot now...

Any suggestions, how to, or whatever...... Ive seen some mounts on the rear shelf....but really dont want to cut things up much, unless its the last resort. Seen a rear enclosure for the rear shelf, but they are hard to find.

Thanks.

The previous owner put some Blaupunkt speakers in the rear shelf. Seems to work well.

Mine is a ‘73, but I have them tucked into the forward door pocket. I have an old radio, so I’m not looking to set any records for audio quality, but they work well.

I believe Moch-1 speaker enclosures are still available, though do restrict rear vision.

Is there no spot in the doors? I'd put a 6.5" in each door and a modest subwoofer under the seat. 5.25" if the 6.5" won't fit.

Music coming from the rear is better than nothing, but it's always weird for it to be coming from behind you.

famoroso ..... Let me think on it, decent price. Looks in good shape. Been looking at the Moch-1 under the dash speakers as well.

What year was it on? May not fit my 1970 if past a 1972...but have to check

The music that you should only be listening to IS coming from the rear.
