Post adjusting cabriolet top

i have an 87 cab with wind noise between the top of the windshield and the top. I want to tighten the latches but dont see any adjustment. There is only a single allen screw visible on both the latch and the catch on the windshield. A small amount of additional pressure solves THIS leak. Any ideas?

there's no adjustment for that. perhaps the rubber seal over the windshield frame is compressed from age. how is the condition of the rubber bead seal on the front of the top?

You can actually get a little more down pressure on the front by adjusting the entire mechanism. If you remove your quarter panels and look where the arms bolt to the body of the car, you will see a very large nut with a threaded screw this can be adjusted which will put more pressure on the front of the top when it hits the latch plate. There is a technical bulletin on the adjustment procedures, im sorry I do not have the number handy. You can check with my-porsche.com , that is where i got the bulletin from. I believe it is called "Cabriolet Adjustment Procedure" Something along those lines.

that adjustment is to position the pin on the header in the proper position over the receiver hole in the frame, not for pressure adjustment. adjusting the nuts moves the pin front or rear and also slightly to the side.

Another thing to look at is the actual latch motor itself, they do have elongated holes that they bolt into. I guess if one came loose that it could be out of position, not allowingthe top to be tight. Just somethin else to look at.
