Voltage to the coil - No Apark - What next?
 

Well, the alarm system was not at fault, as jumping the wires did nothing.

So I decided to check for voltage at the coil. It read 15 on the first read and then in the 13s afterwards.

Should I check the reference sensors next?

This sucks!

Not sure if this helps but when I was fighting my "no start" condition I FINALLY figured it out with Ischmitz help. In my case it ended up being the reference sensor (only about 2 years old), which was odd since it had tested fine many times. HOWEVER, as someone pointed out, they can "fail" intermittently, I tested it several times and noticed it would be way out of spec at seemingly random times. i think it may have been temp related. Replaced it and it's started flawlessly ever since.

Why not go back to the previous thread and follow Ingo's troubleshooting steps?

There were 3 previous threads and they all may be related.
It might help the folks attempting to help you if you kept it all together.
At this point, you could have an intermittent coil or Ref sensor causing you to die on the road or challenge starting. Still doesn't answer your Alarm reset ritual however - that's too weird.
