Nipple under air box
I'm prepping the new CIS air box for install on my '79, and I just noticed a small nipple under where the air sensor and FD will be. What purpose does this opening serve? Should I plug it?
![]() It's the nipple located under the metal bung. |

It's the oil drain for the oil fumes coming off the tank on pre 78 injection. There was a hose connected to drain out through the front sheet metal

Okay, thanks. Since it is a pre metered hole, it's not too important. But, I will plug it. I just found something in my parts bin that will work nicely.
