a Spray shop in San Fernando Valley of LA
Any advice on a good paint shop for my 78 SC targa, it needs a full down to the metal job. If possible, a suggestion in the San Fernando Valley area of LA. Will need all new rubber. Glad to give the business to a good shop.
thanks dave |

actually, no response over at the Paint and body section. Anyone have any recommendations for a paint shop in the LA and especially San Fernando Valley. for my '78 SC targa. Appreciate it.

Euro Body in Tarzana. Owner is named Dave.
A friend and sometimes Pelican (slodave) had his car painted there recently.

When you finally find one -- it'd be interesting to know what a full, glass out paint job costs nowadays. When I sprayed mine, the one gallon can of orange Glasurit cost me $800...

This thread warning you off Esposito has some good “current” recommendations ... ie stay away from Esposito, these days, but Perfect Lines next to TLG in Nth Hollywood, 911Design in Montclair & Auto Art in Torrance are all good starting points :

I can personally recommend Ultimate Coachworks in Culver City as they do awesome work and Gary used to own all Ferrari authorized work. They came highly recommended from Callas Rennsport in Torrance.
Would stay far away from anything in the San Fernando Valley and anyone associated with Esposito as pc100porsche recommends as I couldn't find anyone that was willing to give a written and detailed estimate. What was even scary is many were asking for cash up front. I was even told by one of the techs that the Valley is full of thugs ripping people off. Esposito specifically I heard horror stories of stealing deposits, ripping off vendors and holding customer cars... looking at LA County Court docket is frightening that they are still in business and not criminally charged. Do your homework and who you do business with and this forum is here for these reasons.
