Porsche Crest Rear light removal

Halfway through the removal of the rear lights to check connection due to non operation.
Found the problem- earth connection corroded and siting loose inside the bodywork.

Question- where does it connect to on the chassis? Can't see anywhere obvious.

Thanks

PWICK911,

Follow that wire harness of the tail light housing going to the body. There is a rubber grommet on the chassis (firewall). And that's the plug/connector for the tail light. Go open your engine bay and look at left side near the fuse panel. You will see the other side of the connector. Unplug it and pull out or push out the rubber connector. Keep us posted.
