3.oL Distributor issue
 

So in rebuilding a purchased 3.oL engine from a junkyard, I noticed the distributor was not working with the vacuum advance being stuck. I started looking for a rebuilt one, and it is NLA on our hosts site. :(

so searching the web led me to this site:

selling their own version of a distributor for the 911. Has anyone tried one of these in their car? Are you satisfied with its performance? etc...

also, if you needed to buy a OEM rebuilt distrib where would you find one?

I did find a NOS one online for $1300?? I cannot afford that one. So its rebuild mine, buy a rebuilt one, or try the 123 invention.

Don't you dare spring $500 on that spiffy distributor.

Several robust threads here on bringing the 3.0 distributor back to life.

I bet a bit of PB Blaster or Kroil will help if the dist is on the table.

Also, there are rebuild services available and depending on what you decide to do with the engine, mechanical advance can be tweaked to match.

LOL I wasnt planning on buying one, but was curious if anyone has one in use? and if its any good.

I am soaking it in PB blaster as we speak! :)
