83 Targa dash crack

The dash is just starting to crack off the corner of the defrost vent. It would be nice to stop it and ever better to fix it. Is this something that will require removing the dash?

If leather, keep it out of the sun and juice it up with the leather restoration product of your choice. That should slow migration way down.

Obenauf's leather oil is the hot topic these days.

If vinyl, keep it out of the sun.

Post a pic of the crack. I want to see the condition of the vent under-layment. It can curl and distort a bit.

There are products to fill the crack and dye.

Here is a picture. Very small crack so far. I'd like to keep it that way or repair it although considering the location any repair attempt might be difficult.
