I recently installed a retroair system in my 912E. Actually installing the components was not hard at all but the dozen or so times I was sidetracked by stuff not being included in the kit and the few times my car needed extra modification really made the project take a lot longer. Vent temps are adequate but I think my charge is wrong. On the positive side I have a lot of great new parts (upgraded condenser and evaporator, much better blower)

What were the instructions on the charge? Was a weight provided?

I put the same, but I have a front condenser, I suppose you got one too, put 24 oz, and pull a vacuum for hours.

Ah! One of my Alma Maters.
Worked there back in the late 80's. Amazing story, Doc Weston. Inventionary and patents. You know Weston perfected the light bulb, not Edison. ![]() The way Weston picked his staff members: There was a baseball field behind the buildings in Newark. After work Weston would invite a prospective new employee to play ball. He'd start them out in right field and progressively move them to the infield. Anyone whom could play well in the infield... got to be a on his staff. |

Forget it. Silly of me to ask given the downside of butt-munch throwing in his take on things.
Edit: I played SS, 2nd base and catcher. Coulda played small college ball, 2nd string. Pretty good but not worthy of note. I do remember the few times I helped turn a double play. Euphoric - but it boils down to the second baseman feeding the relay. That is the skill. Catching and throwing is a given which is all I did. I love the game. Was there when Bob Gibson hit his last grand slam in St. Louis in 74 and Albert Belle hit his 50th HR. Saw Mickey Lolich pitch the year after the Tigers won the world series. For the handful of games I have gone to, I got lucky.
