Need tire size confirmaton ASAP

Hi guys. I was preparing my car for a tour & I noticed a screw in 1 of my rear tires. The tire is a Bridgestone RE11 225-50-16. I am leaving Wednesday evening, so I'm scrambling!

Tire Rack says they can have tires to my installer Wednesday, which would work. But they don't have 225s in stock. I was thinking of switching to a 245-45-16, & they do have them in stock. Before I order I want to confirm with the 911 brain-trust that they will fit fine on Fuchs 16x8 wheels.

Please confirm! Thanks.

P.S. - I tried to search but wasn't coming up with the correct results, so in the interest of time I started a new post.

yes, 245 45 16 RE11s definitely fit on 8x16 Fuchs. Had them on my M491. Excellent tire, fit and looked great on the wheel.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm literally about to "check out" on Tire Rack. I was almost positive they would, but wanted to be sure.

You guys are the best...especially Shaun!

The best part of having 8s in the rear is you can use 245s when they are available and 225s when they aren't.

Good luck Doug!
