Mystery cable

Hi everyone can't work out what this cable is it ran from the Tunnel up the inside of the front door pillar

An antenna lead? Just venturing a guess here.
I don't suppose you found the other end?
What is that braid in your hand from?

That braid is the cable! I don't understand why it would of been running up the front window pillar or from the engine.

It is some sort of coaxial cable

Hard wired power for a radar detector?

Any chance your car has or had autoheat? That looks a little bit like the wire that runs to the thermistor in the rubber nipple between the sun visors.
