Carrera Wheel Size opinion sought
85 ROW. Original owner must have found some 16 x 8's and replaced the original which I believe where spec'd at 15 x 7's.
Unfortunately the prior owner had a mishap with a curb and the wheel is bent beyond what any of the reputable re-builders will re-build. 16 x 8's are extremely difficult to find. Thinking there are probably 2 choices. Buy and aftermarket replica or Change to a more readily available 16" wheel width. Seeking opinions from those that have tried different combinations. The drivers side is still could and could probably be sold to purchase replacements. Thanks for the input Rob |

I have a set of Braid 7x16s and 8x16s on my SC and am very happy. Picked them up here on the forums. They don't come up super often, but can be found from time to time. Supposed to very strong and they weigh less than real Fuchs, but look the part.

You can buy brand new genuine 16x8 Fuchs from SunCoast Porsche. Yes, they are $1150 each, but you can buy them. Alternately 16x8s do come up for sale from time to time in this forums classified section.

I picked up a set of recent Al Reed restored (2 each 16X7s and 2 each 16X8s) in the last six months for $2600 here from the classifieds on Pelican (from a local person too, so no shipping). You have to be ready to pounce on them.

Have a WTB ad going right now and it has been pretty quiet. Maybe something will come up soon

16x8 Euromeisters are surprisingly decent IMHO and literally 1/8 the cost of factory Fuchs. Sure they aren't original, but curbs don't care about authenticity
